PCC’s Information Technology curriculum prepares graduates for employment as designers, testers, support technicians, administrators, developers, or programmers with organizations that use computers to design, process, manage, and communicate information, depending on the technical path selected within this curriculum.

Course work includes development of a student’s ability to communicate and solve technical issues related to:

  • Interactive media
  • Network systems
  • Programming and software development
  • Other emerging technologies

Program Outcomes (POs):
PO1: Identify and explain basic networking and security terms and concepts.
PO2: Identify and explain basic technical vocabulary and concepts for website design, computer programming, and database management.
PO3: Manage various single-user operating systems and network operating systems, perform basic PC troubleshooting tasks, and develop skills in information technology project management.
