糖心视频 (PCC) announced today that Dr. Pamela G. Senegal, who has served as the college鈥檚 president since 2017, will be stepping down from her position, effective February 28, 2025.

Senegal shared her decision with the college鈥檚 Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and students earlier this week, citing an opportunity to return home and focus on family.

鈥淚t has been the honor of my career to serve as president of 糖心视频,鈥 Senegal said. 鈥淲orking alongside such talented and dedicated faculty and staff to support our students and advance the mission of this institution has been profoundly rewarding. While this decision was not an easy one, I am confident that PCC will continue to thrive and lead the way in providing high-quality education to our community.鈥

During President Senegal鈥檚 tenure, PCC has seen significant progress, including:

  • Best enrollments in a decade, serving more than 5,000 students annually.
  • New academic programs 鈥 EMT Paramedic, Public Service Administration, Engineering, Sonography, Licensed Practical Nursing and more.
  • Secured more than $30 million in new revenue for the institution through grants, legislative allocations, and private donations over a three-year period.
  • Reduced equity gaps in student persistence and performance outcomes.
  • Procured 91,000 square foot facility in partnership with Person County elected officials for the institution.聽
  • Acquired an 80-acre facility for the institution from Caswell County elected officials for development of agricultural-related programming.
  • Updated facilities 鈥 ADA projects completed, new entryway, enhanced exterior lighting.
  • Refreshed branding and social media presence.
  • Hardened IT infrastructure with significant investments in technology.
  • Increased fundraising and grant efforts 鈥 Pacer Promise program, largest individual gift ever received, National Science Foundation (NSF) finalist

The Board of Trustees will soon begin the search for a new president. An interim leader will be announced in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition.
